General Ledger
The General Ledger module is a multi-facility, financial reporting system designed to accommodate all of the reporting needs of retirement communities, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities. Due to extensive integration, most of the postings and journal entries are performed automatically, triggered by activity within the other modules of LifeCare Plus. This is a core module.

- Automatic generation of recurring entries with either fixed or variable amounts
- Provides automatic allocation from one account to multiple accounts in a step-down fashion
- Ability to enter accruals with automatic reversal of the entry in the following period
- Provides budgeting capability for current and following year
- Budgets can be spread annually, monthly, weekly, daily or by individual months
- Following year's budget is automatically rolled into the current year at year end
- Ability to process in multiple accounting periods simultaneously
- Stores both current and prior year actual data, in addition to current and following year's budget
- Prints flexible financial statements using various criteria
- Variances are calculated in dollar amounts or percentages
- Prints financial records of a prior period
- Allows security-controlled prior period processing
- Provides for memo accounts for automatic statistical analyses for resident day costs, costs per meals served, revenue per employee, expenses per square foot, etc.
- Ability to define subsidiary accounts that should be grouped with a control account for financial reporting purposes
- Ability to define titles, headings, dating method, subtotal methods, etc. for financial statements
- Ability to enter journal entries affecting multiple accounting entities with inter-company payable and receivable entry
- Allows multiple facilities to have different fiscal years
