Installer Note

Install the MDS ICD9 update to the MDS program folder, most commonly C:\Program Files\LC2000\MDS2. Then an MDS user with sufficient privileges working on this same workstation may activate the new codes in either of two ways:

1. Tools

> Admission > Open [open any resident's admission record]
> View Diagnosis Codes... > Add
> Import

, or

2. File

>Open [open any assessment containing Section I]
>Tab I [ Section I ] > Scroll to bottom
> Double click in any Section I.3 Description field
> Import .

This only needs to be done once on one workstation to update the server.
