POINT RELEASE / PATCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS CLIENTS

Make sure all users have exited LifeCare before installing a point release or patch.

  1. Download the file to a workstation that has access to LifeCare Plus.
  2. Right-click on the LifeCare Plus icon and left-click "Properties".
  3. Write down the path in the "Start In" field. For example:
    P:\PVX
  4. Double-click the installation program you downloaded to begin installing the point release or patch.
  5. Click "Next" when you have finished reading the welcome screen, or click "Cancel" to stop the installation.
  6. Check the box and click "Next" once you have finished reading the license agreement, or click "Cancel" to stop the installation.
  7. Confirm that the path in the installation folder matches the path in your "Start In" field from above. If not, change it accordingly, or click "Cancel" to stop the installation.
  8. You will receive a message warning you that the folder already exists. This is expected. Click "Yes" to proceed or "No" to cancel the procedure.
  9. Click "Next" to start copying files, or click "Cancel" to stop the installation. Do not click "Cancel" once the copy-files procedure has begun.
  10. Click "Okay" to complete the installation.
  11. Run LifeCare Plus from the desktop icon.
  12. If you have installed a point release, verify that the version number has updated on the main menu screen. If you have installed a patch, verify that the expected changes are present.
